I have an amiga floppy disk called AR IV but it claims to be for A1200 only. I also think this is available via aminet too. Last but not least, it should only be a monitor/trainer utility with no freeze/save options...
I hope te be wrong on all of the above, please Supamax let us know |

Memory setup itself is easy enough, of course, but it doesn't seem to allow the user to specify where the memory goes in the memory map. This might be usefull to setup WinUae to be a copy of a hardware configuration of choice. If possible, of course |

It works OK, it's just quite slow. The colors on screen are something to show it's packing the data.

Loading statefiles could work "easily" with following restrictions:
- real Amiga must have more memory than saved in statefile (for example 0.5M chip only in statefile, 0.5+0.5 real Amiga) - statefile must be uncompressed Of course memory configuration must match ("unused" space does not need to match). For example 0.5 chip ram statefile generally work fine in 0.5+0.5 configuration. Kickstart also must match 100% if OS is not disabled in statefile. I am not sure if I am bored enough to try |

For the A600 is it not possible to use HRTMon (I think thats what its called) and put a Lvl 7 interrupt button mod on it? I did this with my A500+ back in the day because I couldn't use my AR3 cartridge with my hard disk!

Ok, exaclty how is this AR file done? If it works it means that you're able to transform a UAE savestate into a valid freezefile loadable with Aload?

No nothing like that I havent used AR for years but I remember one of the tools I use to pass around was Burst nibbler so I just changed some settings in F3 and it worked.
BUT it might only work with stuff that kills the OS - alot of stuff will work on other configs but only witk Kick 1.3 - Maybe Skick will help. Also Sa doesnt work 100% for me under WinUae some configs just stick so I cant try further. |

Yes, stuff that don't kill the OS already run from HDs!
Exactly, what are "settings in F3" ??, I mean, if it works how can I be able to obtain a loadable savestate, as yours? |

When you load the A500 AR3 save in your A1200, I suppose it will "transform" your A1200 into an A500, right? I mean, the saved program will run and you will not see anymore the hard disk, the PCMCIA, the 030 etc.
Or did you find a solution to load the AR3 save "transparently"? |
