Some of those are the pick and place machines (the ones with all the rolls), they place all the components

Yes defiantly pick and place machines, we had a smaller version of those at my first job where we made the motherboards for clocking in machines we built, don't see a flow solder machine, I doubt they would have hand soldered all those boards though
 (The one job I hated doing, soldering components to boards)

Wow, it's so strange to look at these pictures. Somewhat depressing too.
I look at that rack (half) full of A600 boards and think "Is my board among them?" and "How many of those are still working?" |
