Smurf Rescue Released! (New Amiga game)
My second game is released! Smurf Rescue! A platform game for your Amiga! You play as Smurfette and your mission is to save all the other Smurfs. Yep, this is my own version of the game and has nothing to do with Smurf Rescue on other systems. The game uses graphics from Lollypop and most of the sprites are from The Smurf on Sega Mega Drive/Game Gear. The game also has lots of samples. All ripped from the Smurf movie from 2011 (voice: Katy Perry). The downside is that this is (just as my first game) made with Backbone. That means, the game is incredible slow even on fast Amigas. But it's very playable with (Win)UAE if you use these settings: A1200, CPU: 68030, 4 MB Fast RAM, Fastest Possible and no Cycle Exact. More information, download, video and screenshots here: www.hipooniosamigasite.org/smurf/ |

Joe beat me to the draw. I was about to upload my maps. . The treacherous footing takes a little getting used to, but a nice game.

Nice game!!! Shame for the music, you could have the real Smurfs tune from GBA, SNES, NES or whatever if I was aware... :P
Congratulations mate! |

Thanks everyone!
I have no idea of what game I will do next. But I'm sure that I will not use Backbone for my future games. I'm done with that piece of sh## software. I want to do games you can play on real hardware without slowdowns! Quote:
Too bad I never asked you. Will ask you if i need a tune converted for future games |

Nice one, played it a bit. You have worked hard for this and got the best considering it has a lot of foreground tiles. Game design is solid especially thinking that it's a backbone game.
If backbone games were playable at least on 020 A1200 and had more parameters, time, weapon change etc would be a fine creator. |

Its a nice little game. Maybe try learning Amos Professional or Blitz Basic 2 for your next game.

Another cool game from you. Solid level design. Good path finding. The sliding is a bit tricky but no prob. All in all very fun game. Thanks for making this.
Ps. I also planned on releasing my game (Boxx2) on 01-01-2015 but I didnt make it meh. Still doing some micro tweaks. Should be ready soon though. |
