I'm really trying, but can't figure out what its good for.
Just to save me the effort of pressing the +/- buttons?

Some people have way too much spare time on their hands

Have 999 discs configured to 999 slots with easy and quick selection on your phone.

I think it's simple convenience, sure you could press the buttons to do the job, but this looks to me to be much more convenient, particularly if you have a large number of images to work with, as I'm sure many people do.

Neat, but it would also be nice to have a list of games in the App, so one can search for a game name.

Agreed, that would be quite an improvement!

And once it goes digital on android. Having a game cover layout on your phone and clicking the game would automatically load it on your gotek. That shouldn't be that hard.

I have a CDTV under the TV at home. Keyboard reaches a nice comfy chair and I have a wireless mouse.
It would certainly help me change the disks from the comfort of the chair rather than on my hands and knees.

Nice. Are these from the designer himself?

The pro version looks promising.

Soon expected the Pro version with another functions!
- Disk name listbox
- Choice from list
- Additional screen resolutions

Would be nice to add box covers if possible.

I'm sure a Gotek can be modified to allow digit entry, or a remote control interface, would be a lot more convenient. Anybody tried that?

[edit] I knew I read something of teh ilk, someone did connect an IR remote to a Gotek:

The problem is, it's still a two button thing. Would be best to be able to use a numeric keypad.

Well, looks like the same guy posting the youtube videos you linked in the first post; Gábor Csikós (eBay: cs_gabor).

I guess he is using one of those small and cheap WiFi modules found on eBay in the design, should be fairly easy to implement.
