Joy of the Single - BBC
Anyone watch this show?
Some great interviews and retrospectives. Got me thinking about my 45 collection which is shamefully boxed somewhere in the garage. http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode...of_the_Single/ (UK only) Seems Norman Cook AKA FatBoySlim still uses his ST. Booo! |

yeah I saw that after all the F1 crashes and James Hunt stuff last night. I had a fair sized collection of vinyl in the 80's before everything went digital. Dont really miss those days but I agree we have lost somethng with downloads. I have all my music on a drive which isn't even plugged in, and what happens if the drive dies?
I thought the shows (singles and albums) were better than expected and I'm glad I caught them. I only ever tune in this TV on F1 or Top Gear day, so to actually watch TV is a rarity. |

I watched a bit of the world richest single on BBC4 which was quite interesting that even the worlds biggest bands really only get their success from 1 or 2 really big singles.
I never trusted that Norman Cook now I know why.... Just think how good he'd been if he'd used a Amiga |
