When I try to mount PC0: I get error that it is already mounted!

damn it, I noticed something this evening on my A4000...
I wanted to read a PC 1.44MB floppy on it, so I naturally opened a shell and typed: mount pc0:
but no go! I get this error: Device pc0: is already mounted
ofcourse the disk cannot be read...
typing PC0: and pressing enter gives a "Not a DOS disk in device PC0"
why? it used to work OK!
