Icon Updater

I have Amiga OS3.9 installed and like to change some of the icons. I can't for the life of me find a icon swapping tool that will allow me to change the icons carrying over all the tooltype info.

MagicWB used to come with one so you could update all your icons. Is there one for OS3.9.

Thanks

You mean change serveral icons at once or one at a time?

In OS3.9 you just drag and drop the icon you want to use you when have chosen INFO about the icon

Select info option on the target icon you want to replace and move over it the new source icon you desire. Save and target icon tooltypes should not change.

Help Icons replace

Hi guys,
Someone can tell me how do I replace a image of the disk icon in WB 3.9 by a image of a icon in PNG format?
Thanks

Disk icons are located on the root of the drive and use the name 'disk.info'
eg dh0:disk.info
now to replace the existing icon with a png one i'm pretty sure the method described a few posts above will do the trick. If it doesn't you could do the following from a CLI/shell.
Code:
copy filename.png to dh0:disk.info
Oh i almost forgot to say that you need the Powericons patch found on Aminet to be able to use png icons on wb3.9 and below

Also:
Scalos has native PNG support. (can be flaky)
AfAOS does too. (does a lot of other stuff)

Powericons is great, I have to admit the last time I tried it the 'drag-thing' put me off. (not the program's fault, but a restriction of WB)

Being a DOpus user I'm stuck with colouricons, but with a bit of care & newer libs 256colour icons will work so I just convert any PNG's I like...
...faster too.
