XBox 360 Wireless Controler

Hi.

Any one know how to get the XBox 360 controler working in WinUAE and also the configuration for it?

Also are there anywhere where there are any good congifurations for A1200 A500 and CD32?

Many Thanks.

XBox360 controller does not need anything special to work with WinUAE (as long as Windows detects it)

I guess i need some sort of adapter to use my xbox 360 wireless controller on my pc?
I plugged it into one of the usb ports using the play & charge kit and windows xp detects and installs it...... but i cant use it for any games??

I may have to look further into this.... but for now my sega saturn pc pad serves me well for emulators etc....

I recommend you use the XBCD Drivers instead of M$ crap drivers.

My wireless 360 controller works fine with WinUAE and the standard Microsoft drivers. Never had any problems.

If anyone ever has a controller struggling to work with an emulator or anything else I reccomend a proggy called Xpadder.

You map the buttons and sticks on your controller to keyboard buttons. Then you simply set up the emulator to be controlled by keyboard, when really the controller is controlling it.

Get it?

I have to use this on NullDC because its controller support sucks!

Can you use a Wireless Xbox 360 controller with the 360 Play and Charge Kit on the PC? I recently bought the Play and Charge kit for my xbox 360 wireless controller. It plugs into the top of the controller and plugs into the xbox through the usb port. It works fine and I can charge and play at the same time, but I was wondering if I could plug it into a usb port on my pc to use it as well. Maybe make it work like a normal wired controller? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Nah, from what I've read the Play and Charge kit is merely used to power the device, the pad is still working as a wireless device so you'll need a wireless receiver/dongle thingy to get it working (if one exists?)

Yes the MS drivers works but you can't configure anything at all.
With the unofficial drivers you can map DPAD to X/Y axis, Trigger buttons to whatever you want etc.
The official drivers should have been able to do that.

This is true .
Unfortunately, I found that unofficial drivers will not work properly for those games pre-configured for the 360 controller (the ones with the "Games for Windows" logo).
For example, Tomb Raider: Anniversary works perfectly with MS drivers (no extra configuration needed, all buttons perfectly assigned), but when I installed the unofficial drivers they "fucked up" the Tomb Raider buttons assignment.
Is there a quick solution for this issue?

Brings me back to all the emu's that were on the Original Xbox, some were ok but most had serious issues, you just can't beat having the real machine, that's not to say many emulators that run via PC or other OS's are not amazing but the one's on the console tend to be no where near as good

Yeah OG Xbox Amiga emu was 100 times better then x360 emu...

To replicate Amiga if you dont have the hardware I suggest two options.

1. Winuae PC
2. Mister FPGA

One is criminally good emulation, the other is criminally good replication
