Willem burner help

Trying here since you've always given me good responses =)

Got a Willem PCB5 with a 16bit 42dip adapter. Actually, I got two adapters. I've been burning fine with the old one (the one the right in the first picture), but wanted a ZIF socket on it, so I bought another adapter. I can read fine from it but when I burn it fails instantly with error at 0x000000 (couldnt write at all).

I've connected the pins A19, A20 and A21 over to the willem board.

Any ideas why it would not work with the other adapter? What have I done wrong? I've tried both with USB and a 12v 1000mA adapter.

Jumpers are apparently all right on the board since it works with the other adapter.

ahh, your trying to burn a kickstart file.

Yepp. EPP in BIOS. works fine with other adapter, burning kickstart file now. I'd rather use the new ZIF adapter though as its easier to get the EPROMs in and our of it.

Yes. It works just fine and I've been burning eproms for 3 weeks with the other 16bit adapter. I only get write error as soon as I try to burn a 27C400 with the new adapter (with the ZIF socket). I just stuck the old one in there again and burning works fine.

I must have connected the new one wrong somehow, but I can not figure out how.

Should the cables not be connected to the corresponding pins on the willem board? IE, A19 to A19, A20 to A20 and A21 to A21?
Have I put the eprom in correctly? I figured if I can read it, it must be put in right?

This adapter works fine (connected. I painted the two upmost holes red as they are not used to burn 40pin EPROMs)

Yay. Solved it. I was tricked by the text on the adapter!

This schematic I found shows that the cables does not need to be connected at all for the 27C160,400 and 800
http://www.ezoflash.com/willem/ep16bit42pin_mpu51.zip

Now, take a look at the adapter itself.

The socket I want to use is marked 27C322. (That was atleast what I thought, but its not the socket name) The jumper to the right indicates that to use 27C322, it should be in the down position.

Looking at the schematics, it should be in the JP2 position to burn 27C160/400/800 and the extra cables are not really used at all.

I set it to JP2 and presto!
