i mean, searching the net i've stubled across a guy who states he had this game, but... on a cassette!
so, that would mean, considering the graphics, it could be (also) for the Atari, and the guys from Secret Service had simply mistaken those two

but yes, the mysterious double barrel screenshot made by someone (Cody?) had to be from an amiga version...

I need Info about game called "Legion".
I have found other version of this game, as known versions available on
Planetemu etc.
Versions available on Planetemu seems to be 2MB-Versions.
This versions dont work under WinUAE A500 configuration.
The version i have found works under WinUAE A500 configuration.

My questions:
Is 1MB-Version i have found an official version.
Means 1MB = ECS
2MB = AGA?

Here you can find fully legal original (and not only) version... To pass the protection screen you need help of someone who can speak polish (on the site there are the guidelines in polish language).

I checked both versions (the one on planetemu and yours maimai) and they are both ECS, but the version from planetemu needs more ram and a kickstart version 2+ The version you uploaded is cracked by Wanted Team. As far as I could see there are some missing screens and one mod file is missing on the first disk However I don't know if it is a official 1MB version or if it was 'hacked' to run on a A500. Maybe mailman can tell us

As far as I remember the original version of Legion requires AmigaOS 2.0 and 2 MB of Chip memory. The game does not use AGA chipset and it has been written in AMOS. If my memory serves me right, there were some versions which requires only 1 MB of Chip but I can't tell it for sure. Maybe shoon4y will remember better.

Yup, that's how it was... something like the Mortal Kombat 2 whdload slave.

The other version is for 1mb, and was released a few moths later, and the one I got for my A600 with 2MB Chip was the 1st version.

I've never had the 1MB version, wonder how did they manage to make it 1MB?
Perfect AMOS coding, or maybe all they did is cut some of the samples/compress that huge music module, that loaded everytime you went on the main map?

Oh, now I see what did they done with the 1MB version...
The main module had some samples shortened, and the whole area, characters, buildings and other sprite-based objects were decreased in size...

actually, it does have pretty good music!
it's also one of the crappiest polish games i know (give me Franko any time ), similar lack of flexibility as in VaBank, looks like the same engine
