Llamatron

I have a few Q's regarding llamatron:
Q1 - (Main one) why is it that I have a black stripe (will try to upload later) at the bottom of the screen and then the rest is visible?

Q2 - Is it normal that the Atari ST voice samples sound correct yet the Amiga's do not?

I tested the game and I did not notice any black stripes and even the sounds are perfect.
Probably your game is corrupt, try another copy, if you are using an Emulator choose an Amiga A500 or an A600 because the game is for Amiga OCS/ECS

If you are using Llamatron: 2112 "WHDload version" you can also emulate an A1200/A4000

Edit: listening on youtube of the Amiga version and ST, particularly the extra life sounded different then (A1200) and now on WinUAE (A1200 - 040 based).

Will try other versions!

A1200 - 040 based is not necessary for the standard version, as said on WinUAE the best choice is A500/A600 base

Has the samples slowed down a bit and sound far better? e.g. on lvl 7 'brain fractal'. And on lvl 8 'oh yeah'.

On WinUAE you simply have to choose from "QuickStart" menu A600 + 4MB , add HD with OS 2.x installed (advised)

You can also use Wirkbench 2.04/2.05 or /2.1 from Floppy (DF0) and add the game in DF1.
