I know this is a CF thread, but:

Adata 16GB Turbo Series SDHC (Class 6) working fine with IDE-SD adapter.

Note that adapter specifically says it supports bootable mode, sdhc, master/slave and ultra dma etc. More expensive adapter than CF, but cheaper memory cards.

I have a general question.
I am planning to "reanimate" my old A1200.
I want to add a CF-card as a HDD via IDE 2.5 to CF card Adapter.
Meanwhile its known to me (after reading this thread), that i have to choose
CF cards, which are confirmed to work with the Amiga,
and now is my question:
Can i use for the Amiga almost every IDE 2.5 to CF card Adapter, which are available in various Online-shops.

Their no reason why you can't go beyond 4 gig. Just make sure you have AmigaOS 3.9 'Amiga OS ROM Update' in DEVS: and you haven't added SKIPROMUPDATES to Setpatch line. DirectSCSI version of PFS 3 should let you get beyond the 4 gig barrier too, as will IDEFix. I suspect though the larger the capacity of card used, the slowly the seek time to load files (particularly with larger files) being solid state memory as apposed to using a "real hard disk". Anyone want to benchmark with aminet version of diskspeed to see if I'm right? :-)

Worked straight away. No need to mess with any commands to get it changed from removable to fixed.

UPDATE:

I can no longer recommend this card. After adding an accelerator to my A1200, I can no longer reliably boot from it. Sometimes at power up, the machine will boot from it fine. Other times it will go to the Insert Disk screen. A simple Ctrl A+A and then it will boot off it. For an unexpanded machine probably fine, add in an accelerator and for what ever reason it has issues.

Also, doesn't work via PCMCIA.
I have an pyramid RCA120 expansion board in my A1200. The user manual says that if using the max memory (8mb in my case) it can conflict with the PCMCIA slot. Maybe that's what's wrong in your setup.

To stay on topic: I'm using the Sandisk 4gb ultra 2, and it works via IDE-CF adapter.

I agree, its more likely and unstable accellerator, like an apollo.

I doubt it's the accelerator, because I bought it from him It's a Microbotics 1230xa.
It works fine with a Sandisk Ultra 2 GB CF card and a Sandisk Extreme 2 GB CF card. The accelerator is also PCMCIA friendly. It can take up to 128 MB RAM and it doesn't conflict with the PCMCIA slot.
See this thread:http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=41637

Anyway, IMO Sandisk cards are the most compatible.

Well must be mobo specific then, cause we have sold loads of those cards as HDD solution without 1 problem.

Could be. Or maybe it was his CF-IDE adapter.
I can't test it myself, cause I don't have any highspeed Kingston cards.
I only have Sandisk cards, and this works for me on all my amigas (with and without accellerator card).
