Anyone Remember Galactic on the Amiga?

I was always fascinated by this game. But was terrible at it. Does anyone remember it? Was anyone actually good at it?

There's absolutely no limit to the amount of sprites I can put on screen. The whole thing is in 32 colours, with a further 128 colours, for the text. It's got six channel sound, and the game runs in 50 frames all the time, so it never slows down. In short, it's technically the most brilliant game I've ever seen" Stavros Fasoulas
It was originally designed to be an arcade game by by Stavros Fasoulas. But then moved to the Amiga. Then he couldn't find a publisher for it and I think it was given away for free on a magazine disk.

I'm sure I just played a demo, but was never 100% sure what I was doing, because it was quite crazy. It was strangely appealing to me though and I have always remembered it.

Me too nice addictive game. I can play it for few levels and when I die I do not know why. Shoot bad guys, collect stuff, avoid bad clone, but what to do to stop decreasing energy bar I do not known

I read a preview with the programmer and it says something about maybe collecting toys or fruit to increase time?

Also he mentions you can get a brush to paint the floor and that when an item falls on a floor panel what item it changes to - depends on the colour of floor panel.

This probably isn't much help but might give you some ideas to try!

I may be misremembering but wasn't this game reset proof? I remember a game looking very like that that I had to power off to get out of.

Aw man, that looks like the kind of game I would have been completely hooked on. But I never had it nor knew of it's existence

Not surprised that nobody supported that game, it had bad gameplay. Visually would look good with better selection of sprites...

It was a great weird little game.

I remember something along the lines of having to catch the cards before they hit the floor to maximise your bonuses (or time allocation maybe?).

I LOVE the music in this game. Has anyone managed to rip the music? I tried and failed.
Also, I never knew what to do either. Does anyone know how to truly play this game?

My friend had this on a 'The One' coverdisk which of course I copied. I bought the original last year off ebay.
