Is it possible to copy from floppy drive to Gotek adf?

Hi,

I'm trying to transfer some floppy disks I have to .adf files to use in WinUAE.

I have an Amiga 500 + gotek + gotek external adapter (KMtech, see pic).
The gotek is connected with the adapter to the external port.

Using X-Copy I can copy .adf's in the gotek to the df0 floppy disk drive, but I can't do the opposite, copy from floppy disk to gotek .adf.

What I did is place and empty.adf file in the gotek, and try to format with X-copy, but it gives me an error with verification ON.
The only way that x-copy works is with verification disabled, but it looks like it hasn't copied anything.

BTW, I don't remember if when formating a disk I have to set it to 'bootable' or 'non boot'.

Writing ADF files with Gotek is very unstable. I have managed it a few times but it was more luck than anything. I found it has a 99% failure rate.

What about with the HxC firmware?
