Turbo Trax
No problem. Codetapper is creating a WHDLoad install of the Microvalue Turbo Trax, so all is not lost.

Another MIA
Metal Gear.
I saw the ad, it had a screenshot of the Amiga version, and it said "Amiga version available in 1990" Maybe some beta of this game exists? Where did they take the screenies from, then? I can post a scan of the ad if anybody wants it. |

MIA list
Both my great courts 1's turned out to be pro tennis tour. But i have a feeling that even the original of great courts had the same title screen. I know some companies didn't bother changing the title screen even when the game changed names in different countries, although i can't remember any examples of it at the moment. Someone suggested that great courts was a name for the series not for the actual game. Does it exist on any other computer with the proper title screen?
We'll consult the oracle of all amiga games hehe. So, Twistin do you know anymore info about it? |

Great Courts
Pro Tennis Tour 2/Great Courts 2 exists as two different versions, with different titlescreens, so I assumed that the first was the same.

Apparently there is an Atari ST version of Great Courts on Automation disk #200, but just try and find it on the convoluted mess of ST web sites. Sheesh!
I was gonna try and get a title screen from that to show that the game does exist under this auspice. So this will have to do in the interim... |

Metal Gear
Ok, here's a detail of the Metal Gear advert I found in Compute!'s Gazette for 64/128 Users, Vol.7 Nr. 11 Issue 77, November 1989 (*phew!*) (~93KB)
And for those who want to check out the whole ad, and treasure it forever , just click here: http://www.classicgaming.com/shmups/temp/metalgear_ad[full].jpg (~195KB) (argh, board got confused with my []s, so just cut and paste that onto your browser/dload manager ) Now, whoever finds a beta version of Metal Gear, earns a monument in my house |

Excellent images giving new hope for these rarities to surface! Good work Andy & Akira!
This MIA project has proved to be quite a fruitful affair indeed. I would like to also use this platform I am on at the moment to recognize all of the great uploaders! Damn, Andy - I am breathless! And Tik Tok...there is no thread handy (outside of my being too lazy to search), so I will thank you here again for all of the great originals you keep laying down. And really, everyone else that contributes! Anyone who is not a regular here just plain misses out on great discussions, rare facts + research + infos, and of course, the great 'grab 'em before they expire' files. By expiring, their rare status gets maintained, too! |

I've uploaded the one's i can find easily. There's still a few more i have to sort though. I'll upload the rest in a day or two when i've sorted through them.
I have a few different leading lap games, which i need to sort through also. How many games exist with this name? It'll be interesting to see if anyone gets dragonlord aka dragon's breath to work on winuae or fellow. Please tell me if you do. Hope you like the stuff so far |

Well, Dragon's Breath will only be possible to work if someone cracks it. And that will only be possible to crack on a real Amiga. I have the MFM warp of the protected track, which is never distributed with the ADF's, but it is essential in order to play the game on a real Amiga. So someone would have to use that file together with the ADF's and finally crack the game, which was never fully done. Is anybody up for the task? I know for a fact it works on a real Amiga with this track...
Leading Lap. Hmmm...I haven't sat down and done the grunge work on this one. I have the game listed once in my database as Leading Lap AGA/1995/Reflex (as per review in CUAmiga 12/95). The copy I have lists it as being from Black Legend (probably a publisher/developer thing), cracked by Motion, and ECS/AGA. After the cracktro, the console outputs "Leading Lap MPV Game Session Started" - whatever that means. I never took that as meaning that there was a non-MPV version, unless Cody has some information that might explain this. At any rate, I haven't been able to get into the game at all; it just hangs at track 41. Then I have a one-disked crack by Bad Karma that is listed as being WB, but I don't see that. It also hangs, but on track 71. |

I seem to have loads of different versions with different numbers of disks. As i say i need to sort through them to figure out the story behind it. These are the ones on my list, unfortunately my list doesn't include company and so on (it just allows me to find stuff easily at the moment).
LEADING LAP (2 disks) LEADING LAP (4 disks) LEADING LAP AGA (2 disks) LEADING LAP ECS/AGA (2 disks) LEADING LAP MPV AGA (3 disks) LEADING LAP SPECIAL EDITION I might possibly have more i suppose, that are unlisted as yet, but i need to check these first. |

Day Of The Pharaoh
Thanks again Warlock!
Day Of The Pharaoh seems to be the same as a game called Pharoah that I have, so it's highly likely that the same game has two names. What did your box call it? |
