Need a good&small resident AV&MBR protector

Since the last (and 1st) virus attack on my a4000, i now have all the os installed and working again.

Does anybody knows some kind of MBR & HD overall RESIDENT virus/guardian protector? I found some in the virusz page but im a bit confused, since in my a500 experience, some antivirus ppl said were cool actually were worst than some fredfish mini but efficient av (i remember, for example that viruschecker didnt recognize Saddam virus- my solution was to clean system-configuration by hand.)

Many times are passed and I just dont know who are the best A-Virus now, special - in my case- is a small resident AV that could protect MBR and some other SYSTEM-FAILURE stuff.

Many tks, from Portugal

I think VirusZ would be good choice. Small, fast and works in the background. Just make sure you've got the latest xvslibrary (brain file). Check this site for details.

I don't know if there are any RDB protectors out there but a few backup ones are available. Rigid Disk Block Archiver is pretty cool. It's also a good idea to write down some of the RDB's details like Start and End Cyls just in case.

Seems allright!

Tks for the recomendation,
i started virusz3 /wbstartup and it seems very good.
In fact -as you said- it is very light, and i had a -8 priority to even notice less.

According to SysSpeed, there's NO loss speed with virusz on.
In fact, I see I have some more chip ram with virusz.
All good news.
