New Amiga site planned (need your suggestions)

Me and Ironclaw was thinking of making a new Amiga site.

The idea is for people who has/had an Amiga can introduce them selves and post pictures of him/her with an amiga or just a picture of their amigas.. or whatever you choose... as long as it is Amiga related

.

An example could be:

PIC1, PIC2 (first pic is of me and my amiga, second pic is of all my amigas and stuff)

Then I tell a bit about myself and stuff... like why I like amiga and what I own.

Do you think this is a good idea?... and what would be a suitable name for the site and the address?

Was thinking of using www.amigalovers.com or www.meandmyamiga.com (Me and my Amiga).. Give me your suggestions for names.

I think this is a good idea because I have seen several threads with pictures of Amiga owners, amiga rooms, mass collection of amiga games etc... So, why post these pictures and stuff on different sites and in different threads when it ALL can be in one place? (our new site that is).

I believe that the common problem of Amiga (and I mean the original Amiga, not Morphos or Linux Distributions) is that it's Browsers are outdated.

We need a new Browser like firefox, for 68k (040/060) running at AmigaOS 3.1 & up. It could be very nice, if this site had a questionaire like that "Do you need a new generation Browser for your Amiga ?" for votes...etc

It's time our sites to be more useful. We need more powerful internet software. I have heard that IBrowse had a new version at an Amiga show (I do not remeber which), but they haven't released it to the public yet.
I hope that the new version should run to 3.1 & up...
Amiga is not Apple. Every program has to run to every Amiga-OS with every processor.

What I'm wondering is what you expect to achieve with such a website? What would be the long term use of it. We already have EAB where people swap Amiga war stories and the odd picture, what is your website going to add that isn't already here?

yes, a nice idea, but avoid names like: www.amigalovers.com or www.meandmyamiga.com ... sounds like sites lol

The idea is to have all amiga fans' pictures of their room/amiga/themself, a little story about them self and their amiga history..... having it all in one place instead of having a few posts here and there in many forums.

So every amiga fan should post some pictures of their choise and write something about them and their amiga... why they like it maybe.. what ever they want.. as long as they like the Amiga.

no searching needed to find peoples pictures and stuff in different forums.. it will all be in one place.

So, if you have an amiga and are proud of it.. tell the world!

It's funny you should mention this now as I spent some of the weekend clearing out my loft and came across tonnes of old photo albums. There's got to be some Amiga pics amongst them somewhere. I'll see what I can find.

Would I be able to link to my Amiga emulation tutorial/general nostalgic ramble instead of having to rehash my story?

Are you going to post photos of some famous people with an Amiga on the site too? I suggest Jay Miner being one I'd like to see standing next to an Amiga.
