"Created using Redpill". That makes me curious - were you able to create this game without doing any programming?

Not a bad little game

...only small issue is that RedPill needs high specs to run decently, plus when you start with say four enemies and start killing them, the game gets faster and faster; same thing happens with Lumberjack Platform for example.

If Zener could work on improving these 2 issues then RedPill would be a much better game-making engine.

Could you try last version (0.7.17)?, you should notice a good improvement

Ok, tried 0.7.17 with Chicken Coop.

To be honest, I didn't really notice much if any improvement in regards to:

...but now with 0.7.17 the character / enemies and other parts of the game constantly flicker.

If you emulated, I also adjusted the CPU to +50% and then the game runs smoothly

Oh, and I should mention there's a small bug. It's related to a sound effect that plays.

It happens when you run through the "orange" bush:

I created some icons for the game based on its sprites. Zener, feel free to add these to the game distribution if you'd like.

Find them in the Zone! as ChickenCoop-icons.lha

You shouldn't link to files in The Zone!

Also Please don't direct link to files in The Zone when creating a 'new thread' or 'replying to a post', because files in the zone are auto deleted !
Just saying...

Running Chicken Coop as an ADF

Probs a stupid question but is there any simple way to get this game running on an ADF - or mutiple ADFs?

Just tried formatting an ADF doing 'Install df0:' & then copying the files over with the subsequent intention of writing an S:Startup-sequence file with 'Game' as the sole line. But didnt get that far as the total files for the game exceed a single ADF capacity.

I know I can (& do) run it happily from HD but ideally want to add it to a collection of favourite games all as ADFs. As ever any help much appreciated.

Cheers

Now that's a cool/interesting game, and it pains me to see it being so slow and constrained because of how it is made code-wise.

Hoping collaboration with a proficient coder can happen so this gets more into the speed and slickness we expect of the platform.
