Best Stack Program?
Is there any kind of agreement as to what is the best program for setting the stack size on the amiga classic? I have heard StackAttack, StackAttack2, and MinStack mentioned. MinStack is the most recent of the 3 but the documentation with it is minimal. It was written by Peter K who normally does very thorough work.

MinStack is based on the original StackAttack source code. My goal was to make this utility as simple and as fast as possible. I never needed something like ADDSTACK or other options.
"MinStack nnnn" is the same as "StackAttack MINSTACK=nnnn ADDSTACK=0". But it's a bit more optimized. Nevertheless, since MinStack was my first attempt to write a program, it's probably not optimized to the limit. Last edited by PeterK; 01 January 2012 at 18:24. |

I use StackAttack2 since some years and never noticed any problems. The only disfigurement is that it has to be start twice. I don`t know what about MinStack.
