Nah, it's pretty old. Very basic graphics but with a decent gameplay for a 1985 16bit game.

I don't judge a game by its looks. I will see what it takes for a port. Not all games are equally difficult to port, far not !

It would be something extra special to see Oids on the Amiga. I still like to make levels for it even now and it was for a very long time the one reason I missed not having the ST. Emulation means I can play it any time and do, but seeing this on Amiga would be truly something some of us would celebrate

It's fantastic seeing Gauntlet etc. finally appear on the Amiga, but my preference is for classic "original" ST games, better versions of which can't already be played in Mame, for example. Last edited by Marlon; 05 January 2013 at 01:20. |

I just found out that one of my favorite speccy games did come out on the ST : RANARAMA. It is a nice flip-screen game, very similar to Paradroid. A shame an amiga conversion never came out. Looks like it might be an easy candidate for porting too since no scrolling or similar involved...

Though I believe it's a 'GEM' application, it seems this game came out for every platform at the time except the Amiga.... http://www.mobygames.com/game/phantasie-ii/screenshots I always hated it when RPG series missed one of the games on one or another platform. The Ultima games for example, The Atari 8-Bit got 1-4, C64 has 1-6, Atari ST has 2-6, and Amiga has 3-6 (natively, I believe Exult (Ultima 7 interpreter) has an old version for RTG, and the very awesome and Epic NovaCoder is working on an AGA version of Exult.) So while we're at it, throw Ultima 2 on there? I think it's also GEM based though, which I think you mention is more difficult to port? slaapliedje |
