BUG: Mapping the END key does not work
I tried mapping the END key to several different keys, mapped the RIGHT SHIFT key to the same target key at the same time for testing purposes. always worked correctly for RIGHT SHIFT, never worked for END, test mode claims the mapping works fine for both keys.
This problem occurred in WinUAE 1.4.6 and after updating from the .zip to WinUAE 2.3.0 it was still there, so I guess it's an old problem. Also would be nice if it were possible to sort the keyboad key list alphabetically, by clicking on the header of the key column. |

END is a special case (because it is used for most hardcoded shortcuts). Currently it can be only remapped in config file: win32.specialkey=<hex value of key>

Thanks for the win32.specialkey hint and the explanation. After some testing I came to the following conclusions:
The keyboard mapping works fine for the END key, unless win32.specialkey is set to 0xcf (which is the default value). win32.specialkey= <some other arbitrary hex value> fixes the END key mapping problem and doesn't seem to have any other effect for normal WinUAE users. Setting it to the A (or a) key for example, doesn't block that key and doesn't keep the user from mapping A to some other key. |
