A500(plus) memory expansion

Been doing some fiddling with my 500 lately and trying to find more info on the RAM expansion, but found no info on BBoAH or anywhere else.
The label (second image) reads as such -
"1/2 & 1 Meg A500 Plus EXPANSION"
"(c) DJ For CORTEX DESIGN & TECHNOLOGY LTD"

Anyone seen one of these before and know anything about them?

I don't know anything about this specifically, but my bet is, it's a 512kB slow expansion for A500/1MB chip expansion for A500+.

That looks the bare minimum 1MB trapdoor expansion for the A500+.

Were you interested in knowing something about the company who made this or what? The schematics for these were printed in the back of the A500 and A500+ user's guide, so it was not very difficult for lots of companies to make different kinds of 512k and 1M RAM expansions.

Cortex was pretty popular here early 90s, my A500 has a ½Meg Cortex in it.

I didn't know it was a common design.
Knowing more is always a nice thing, though.

All the pictures I've seen generally show much larger boards that do basically the exact same thing as this one.

8 x 51C4256 chips makes it a 1Mb RAM expansion. Pretty bare bones card, just the 8 RAM chips and associated decoupling caps
