How to assign a tool (agablaster) to a file (cd32.cdxl)

I've been playing with AGA Blaster a fair bit between last night and this morning and this may seem like a newb question but for the life of me I can't figure it out.

I simply want to double click on the cdxl file to automatically load AGA Blaster and play the video.

For testing purposes so far everything is just on DH0 as follows

DH0:AGABlaster/AGABlaster (this is the location and name of the player)
DH0:AGABlaster/CD32.cdxl (this is the location and name of the video file)

the command to play a video is

AGABlaster CD32.cdxl

I created an icon for the cdxl file and pointed to the default tool as

DH0:AGABlaster/AGABlaster

When I double click on the icon it throws a software failure

Program failed (error #87000004)

Obviously I'm doing something wrong here and I'd be forever grateful if one of you kind chaps would help.

And this works (plays the video file)?

I don't think so but maybe set a larger stack is worth a try.

I would make a script for this; and then change the icon to be a "project" and point to the script.

This indicates the program doesn't accept being run from Workbench.
As DamienD pointed, the solution is to make a script.
You can eventually give an icon to that script, and then use "IconX" as default tool for the icon.

Sorry but AmigaOS things tend to confuse me, I am trying to learn though.

I have created a script with the following

cd dh0:agablaster/
agablaster cd32.cdxl

The below is a screen shot of the cd32.cdxl icon information

How do I point to the script? or again am I missing something else?

Just rename the "cd32.cdxl.info" file to "script.info".

In DirOpus, also set the "protection bits" to "Script" for the file "script":

...or do this in CLI / Shell by changing into the directory and typing:

Code:
protect script +s

You need to set IconX as default tool to the icon of the script file as already mentioned. This will execute the script file.
