Idea for a new feature in whdload/slaves
I just had this crazy idea with Whload.
Making archivements for Amiga games. Seeing how the slave makers are patching in the first place, perhabs one could set up some archivements which could be gained throughout a game, similiar to eg. xbox games. For instance in Alien Breed, if you complete the game, you get an archivement, if you own all the weapons you get an archivement etc. All these could then be added through winuae to an eab archivement profile or something like that? Just a crazy thought. |

That is the worst idea I've ever seen. Sorry.

Funny thing, i had this same idea a couple of days ago too! But then the idea had to vanish: there would be too much extra coding (who would even DO it? ) and it would serve no real purpose. Besides achievements and trophys fit better in the console world anyway.

Some of you guys take it too personally.
It was a crazy thought as I wrote. I just thought it could be funny implementing archivements in old amiga games. Of course the best way going about this, would be using whdload. Obviously, there would have to be some sort of profile to keep track of the archivements, that's why I mentioned Winuae. Because I don't see how it could be done properly in whdload. You don't have to like it. At least I try to bring new ideas to the table :-) |

I don't think anyone was taking it personally, they were just letting you know why it is a bad idea. It's not feasable anyway... |
