Ramparts, i have uploaded night hunter in original copied with powercopy. you just need to get powercopy, and then copy the game back to disk. note : you need to install powercopy on your hard drive to copy back the game on a floppy.
night hunter use 2 syncs : $4489 and $8944 and the track size is only $1865. |

You won't find it on the Net... but you can find it here in EAB.
It was kindly cracked by our mate (and cracking genius) StingRay . Take a look here: http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=59034 (Post #9) |

You must install on hard drive powercopy. then, you must decompress the nighthunter zip file, and then use it as DEV for source and DF0: ; i'm at work right now, and i will be available tonight, i'll be able to upload screenshot for what you have to do

I have zero experience with PowerCopy other than loading it in WinUAE just to look at. I decided to give it a try. My way varies slightly from what the Captain described. I used A500, GVP A530 and 1 external floppy drive.
1 - Write PowerCopy ADF to real disk. 2 - Extract NightHunter drawer to Amiga hard drive 3 - Boot PowerCopy from DF0: 4 - Click blue DEV button, adjust path to location of NightHunter drawer, click Accept. 5 - Cycle gadgets upper left, Source Drive DEV, Target drive 1, Verify ON. I left every thing else default. 6 - Insert blank disk into DF1: Click blue START button. The resulting copy booted fine in the A500 and I sailed through most of level 1. All the items easily collected but after that happens, Van Helsing appears. One hit from this guy and you're dust so I failed to reach the exit door. I need to find a way of avoiding the Professor in order to make further progress. |

@ramparts,
If you follow the procedure which clenched posted, or modify it slightly and do what dlfrsilver suggested instead if you don't have an external floppy drive, it should work okay. |

I heavily used Cyclone in the old days to backup disks that people sent for whdload installing. It worked pretty well, but I admit I never tried to copy a copy.
My technique was: try Xcopy, then Xcopy nibble, and if you get a lot of "7" tracks, switch to Cyclone For RN protected game (single track 0.1) it worked 100%. I just xcopied the other tracks and used Cyclone for this track. Doing this gives a 100% working Gods for instance. The Cyclone was good at copying RN track (and even displayed a smiley on the track when it recognized one) because RN protection was very popular. With more obscure 1-track protection I suppose Cyclone was not that good. AFAIR I could copy most games I have tried. Deliverance was difficult. HD disks helped. Leander worked ok, so did Prime Mover. RN longtracks failed (for the reason mr Vince told, but RNcopy did the trick) Apart from Kryoflux of course, the best way is to use specialized copiers like wwarp or rncopy, because they know what the format is (when it's supported), and is able to reduce gap so track is no longer "long". BTW I heard a rumor saying that you could backup an RN track on a standard drive using MFMWarp and a special plugin. True or fiction? cheers |

KryoFlux uses (cheap) standard PC drives. There's no magic in drives, data generation happens in the controller. Most are pretty limited, so KryoFlux was made to be very flexible.

I tried Nighthunter in the zone on the cracked powercopy but for some reason the DEVICE requester won't let me select any volumes or close it so I have to reboot? I think it's because I use a CF>IDE adapter with a 4GB CF card and it might be confusing powercopy!! If I type the path to the device then it will work!
