Defender of the Crown
I'm new here, so hello! everybody, and I'm also new to amiga emulation. I owned an Amiga some years ago, and it's really good to play again with all those gems.
I have some problems with Defender of the Crown, wich i never played on my Amiga. According to the manual available on AmigaMos, the menu include some features such as "Transfer men", "Outflank enemy" "catapult barrage" during a battle (they also mention animated figures during battals), etc. etc. All these features doesnt appear on my game. I tried several adfs, but they're all the same. Am i doing something wrong ? thanks for your help. |

Could you please try this NON-TOSEC version and report me back if these features appear in that version?
The guys say that this is a 100% version, so there could be betas or pre-release versions floating around the net. This would by far not be the first time that this happens (see "PANG!"). @TOSEC guys: Names to add to DAT are Defender of the Crown v2.0 (1986)(Mindscape)[h Destroyer](Disk 1 of 2) and Defender of the Crown v2.0 (1986)(Mindscape)[h Destroyer](Disk 2 of 2) NOTE: use SAVE AS... don't click on the links because this might not work. Disk 1 here Disk 2 here |

Shouldn't that be:
Defender of the Crown v2.0 (1986)(Cinemaware)[h Destroyer](Disk x of 2) Cinemaware instead of Mindscape? |

Thank you for the files, it worked this time.
I tried them with winfellow (didn't work with winuae), but it's still the same. I just don't understand. I suppose the manual available on amigamos is for the amiga version of dotc ? |

I just took the 'Mindscape' publisher information from the other files already in the DAT. |

These features never made it into the Amiga Version AFAIK
The same goes with the ammunition of the catapults (on C64 for example you can use 3 kind of them, on the Amiga just the rocks) .... Cinemaware just wiped them out cause they wanted to release the game faaaaaaaast (a real shame) |

The "real" Defender of the Crown 2 has some of the features/options you mention (Maybe all of them, I can't remember)
Real = CDTV/CD32 version = Too big for the zone, sorry. |

Sorry for the nitpicking, but I think "Defender of the Crown 2" isn't the same like "Defender of the Crown 2.0".
The first represents PART II, whilst the latter rather sounds like VERSION II of "Defender of the Crown Part I". DOTC 2.0 came out in 1986 as well, whilst DOTC II was released much later: in the 90s. |
