"Long time ago (around the year 1999 I think) there was this idea to write a native version of HoM&M for the Atari. Tiger (our graphician) drew those screens and I wrote a map editor and came up with a few algorithms for path finding and such. And unfortunately that's about it. I had to quit the Atari scene due to my studies and nothing got finished. As a matter of fact I doubt if anything would get finished since we lacked the programming skills... it is a very advanced game you know. At least we made it to a newspaper (...) The fact that there was III in the title meant the all the basics like fighting were meant to be as in HoM&M3.
Of course the graphics were suppose to be totally rewritten from the very beginning.

I highly doubt anything beside those few Town graphics were finished. The map editor was never transferred to the PC, so even if it exists somewhere on some disks I highly doubt I could found it. (Besides, it was nothing special, just some sprites on fonts. There was no map graphics). To sum it up the project died at it's birth so there's not much to be proud of. Yet another of those too ambitious projects that never made it."

Translation:
Guys from group New Generation (NG) started conversion of this game from PC for Atari XL/XE. They shows few pictures of castles, but they say its already not actual, as they want to redraw them for better. New pictures will be in interlace mode, which means they will have also more colors. Game will need 320KB RAM. Map editor is already done.

PICS

DJ from group New Generation (NG) works on connecting DSP into ataaaari 800. It should be something similar like in Falcon, where DSP runs independently from main processor. On 800´s it will be good for playing samples at the same time with I/O operations and playind MODs without need to switching off screen (Antic). (cant stop laughin..., sorry)
DSP should have own switchable adress space at $8000-$9000$.

hope its correct as its only fast&lazy translation
