WHDLoad slave for DM and CSB
Hello JOTD?
I have been following EAB threads on Dungeon Master and Chaos Strikes Back workability when duplicating and WHDLoad playabilty. I did have the WHDownload install but I thought after that I'd like my own copies installed. My DM is v2.2 and CSB is v3.3, both from the Technoplus expansion ram package. Neither of them run with the current slaves. DM v2.2 loaded to the intro splash screen only and CSB v3.3 quit on load with "file corrupted or unsupported version" message. The rawdic reader messaged "too few bits in sector" on the protection track 1, sectors 1-10 on both disks too. Is this the thing or are these just read errors? Also the runtime slave couldn't find Disk.1 or Disk.2 in the data folder; I had to move the files to the main folder. Thanks again. Last edited by Snoopy1234; 25 December 2022 at 06:35. After further reading of the WHDLoad install notes I see the DM install (and previous installs) is for re-releases only and doesn't support v1.0 and v2.x releases. :|
On to CSB and the notes specify v3.1 and v3.5 are supported (v3.1 comprehensively) while the actual installer quotes (v3.6). JOTD mentions he has no plans for the earlier versions. Doesn't look good for my Technoplus release... |

we can't track all issues from EAB. Opening a mantis ticket is the way to log those problems/requests.
The base is big but it's not "first in, last out", so latest found bugs have a chance to be fixed if they're fixable The main issue with DM games is copy protection. It's been cracked worldwide, but not all versions/all cracks have been capitalized in whdload. |

@JOTD @Stingray
Chaos Strikes Back WHDL slave and imager are currently incompatible with version 3.3 from the Technoplus edition. It's there to do if time permits.. http://ftp2.grandis.nu/turransearch/...0&httplinks=on |
