Is there a tool to browse files inside an IPF?
Is there a tool that allows me to browse the files of an IPF image? Of course only if the IPF image contains a standard AmigaDOS disk with no custom file format.
For ADFs I can easily do this with a Total Commander plugin. For IPFs I always need to mount them in WinUAE first and then browse using WinUAE which is a bit of a hassle. It'd be easier if there was a tool which would allow me to access files on an IPF disk directly from Windows.... is there one? |

You can load the IPF into the HxC Floppy Emulator Sofware and export it as an ADF, if it's a true ADOS disk with files it will save as an ADF you can view using Total Commander.
You need: HxC Software capsimg.dll which is inside this archive, open the archive and extract the 32bit dll not the x64 one! Just extract the HxC software, open the extracted folder and then open the Windows folder inside it, copy the capsimg.dll into this folder and then run the HxCFloppyEmulator.exe, drag/drop the IPF onto the HxC software, click the 'Export' button and set 'Save as type' to ADF and save the file to wherever you want then load it in to Total Commander! Should work! |

Well, never tried that as it refers to DOS, and DOS to me means IBM so never used it!

It's just the way it's worded didn't imply AmigaDOS as well, but now I know it does
