Nice! Any chance your internet mob can come over my joint and fix my new "superspeed" net connection + home phone?! Bloody Federal Government's NBN rollout across the country here has been a bit of a balls-up - outdated & underperforming technology at great expense to customers and taxpayers!

Funnily enough, I'm not sure I've ever heard any of my German friends use that word in conversation or email.....yet I've heard it more than a few times in English-speaking movies and TV series. How odd! The first "Die Hard" movie always immediately springs to mind when anyone says "schnell, schnell!"

Can you recreate a 100% cracked ADF now, or does someone need to do a clean crack?

@All
After tonight's photo peeps, I think it's going to get really challenging for me to find games in the collection that are left on the MIA list. Still, there are a few rare gems in the small lot of games pictured tonight.

I'm staggered that a homebrew-style edutainment title like Milky Way Cafe - only released here in Australia - was professionally duplicated so that an IPF could be released! I wonder if they made their money back in sales to even cover the duplication costs??!!

Profi-FuƟball: Der Trainer is another rarity.....MIA in HOL and doesn't seem to be in TOSEC or available anywhere else on the net. Any Germans here with this one in their collection? Is it really that rare?!

@Denis
Anyway, here's a photo for tonight's installment of games [letter 'T', random games].......it's another sexy seven!

Yeah I think so, but haven't bothered to try as yet...

As I emulate, I'll probably end up just using the .IPF in my collection

Yes it's from Irek's dump, the very same Codetapper submitted to SPS 5-6 years ago.

Me:
Quote:
Remember when you sent me the preinstalled Rugby the World Cup (3730)
WHDLoad archive some 5-6 years ago ?

Was that installed from the actual SPS 3730 ipf or Irek's ctraw dump ?
Codetapper's reply:
Quote:
Both Let me explain. I was send the raw file by Irek and we worked out that it was a different
version of Rugby The World Cup so I sent it off to the SPS guys. I told them I wanted to put on
the WHDLoad readme which versions it supported so needed an SPS ID for it. They said they
were too busy to put out a batch of IPFs but had checked the disk, it was verified as a good dump
but for whatever reason I'd have to wait for the next batch of games to go out. But ID 3730 had
been reserved for it so I could put that in the readme. So that raw from Irek became the IPF 3730
when it did get released.

So it's both
So there you have it.

I can't thanks Denis, Irek and Codetapper enough for finally putting this "odd one out" to rest.

Strange!

I've sent a dump of my Rugby The World Cup to Denis, but doing my own checking I think my copy is also 3730!!

I loaded Retroplays IPF of 3730 into HxC and saved it as ADF, then did the same with the IPF of SPS 0258 and also with my raw KF streams so I had 3 ADF's, then checked the CRC32:

0258: 886A2979
3730: B82350ED
My dump: B82350ED

So it 'looks' like my dump is 3730 also? HxC creates a plain ADOS track where the copylock track is with all 3 ADF's having the same sector CRC of 11AB in the copylock track! The fact 3730 when converted to ADF gives the same CRC as mine seems to show the disk data is the same as my dump whereas 0258 gives a different CRC

I'm pretty sure Denis will confirm these values as the ipf came from him as the official 3730 release.

Well if he makes an IPF of my dump and the CRC is the same as 3730 then we have 2 dumps of 3730

If I hex compare the ADF of 3730 against the ADF created from my streams they are identical too, the ADF of 0258 is very different to my dump and 3730!

I explicitly asked Denis if this is to be considered the official 3730 ipf to avoid any confusion about the missing entry in SPS official dat.
The answer was yes, it's as official as it possibly can be.

Was 3730 some sort of a pre-release that accidentally got sold as retail?

Just compared 3730 to 0258 and there are noticeable differences:

Different style Domark logo for the loading screen
0258 shows the joystick controls as it loads
0258 has a DEMO option on the title screen

My dump is undeniably 3730
