Just watched it and Which machine was this recorded on? The remake really looks cool (even if the spaceship could have a better model ). Also the quality of the video is really good for the size

First demo I ever saw was in 90/91 from Hattrick. It was a digitized picture of Don Johnson from Miami Vice with a sampled remix of Crocketts theme :0) Anyone know where I can get hold of the ADF ?

It wasn't untill late 92 when I saw World of Commodore from Sanity pull off SNES effects on a computer 5 years older that I began following the demo scene.

I believe Hattrick was a demosceners handle, real name Atle Schulstad from Norway, he was a member of the following groups TAS, Razor 1911, No Limits, EON + more that I don't know. Search for these groups 'n' check for the demo on http://kestra.exotica.org.uk/index.php, happy hunting

Edit: Forgot to mention, goto the req.Demos thread someone there will probably point you in the right direction

Edit2: Ex handles for Hattrick were Hattick & Hat-Trick, these may also help in your quest

Cheers. I found this link on here which is asking for the very same demo in more detail:-

French legendary group Ackerlight made the Last Sun Demo before splitting . 'twas really a nasty blow from the authorities to the rapidly growing European scene of that time , but they had set the standards in a oh, so beautiful manner.

Some of the guys teamed up again to make PC games after that. Check out their cracktros, neat & simple stuff too.

Well for me the megademo 8 by kefrens (damn it's anoying it allways crash here on my a500 ) , crionics megademo and the megademo by rebels with the train part.
When i rewatch these, it certainly takes me back in time, to when I was draggin all those bags filled with floppies home from school.
Haha those where the days.
There are many others, but those 3 spring to mind in a split of a sec.
Oldschool demos never die and 1 frame effects ftw, sadly this is something that seems to be forgotten on amiga, but on c64 it's everything still (allmost )

RSI Megademo
Enigma / Phenomena

RSI blew me away in 1990/1 when I first saw it. Superb music, superb gfx. The later, well, same reasons.

The intro music "duh-duh dum-de-dum, duh-duh dum-de-dum" I'm whistling right now! (Edit - actually, I'm thinking of Elysium - by Sanity. IMHO superior to Enigma overall, though the spining vector cube in Enigma was superb)

But the all-time greatest demo... well it aint on a Mig... its the Stoat & Tim Circlesque demo on the C64. Absolutely freakin amazing...

Another (sadly c64 too) of note was the "Everybody was kung-foo fighting..." on the C64. Yep, just a few seconds of sample. But amazing for its time in 1983/4 :-)

Some of the Eric Schwarz anims were good.... and there was a lovely anim/demo which for the life of me I cant remember, but featured "Rubber Canoe" as a sound track. Ah, "V.A.U.X. VAUX Killer". Was only the intro though. Would love the whole track

The razor1911 megademo, for the copper object spaceship.
Everyone else was doing exactly the same as everyone else, a few more frames/second or a few more bob's in their bob demo's and razor went out and made a copper object.
They were always ahead of everyone else and original and with a sense of humour at times too.

Well, nostalgia is highly subjective, here's my top three:

1) Mental Hangover / Scoopex (the music detonates anyone's brain )
2) Enigma / Phenomena (One of the first demos I ever saw, superb music too! )
3) Desert Dream / Kefrens (For the "Egyptian" theme )

RSI Megademo and Crusader's Audio X (especially for the Smoke on the Water music, and who doesn't love dancing toilet seats?)

The crack intro for F-18 Interceptor by Unit A is by far the most nostalgic to me. Sooo wonderful and suggestive...
