Not the best demo ever, but for me , one of the most nostalgic is certainly "Overdose" by delight, thanks to the Audiomonster music

I have a soft spot for Desert Dream and Kefrens Megademo 8

I hope this won't be taken as spam, but if this is the case, please delete my message:
We managed to have 4-MAT / ex Anarchy to make a tune for us recently, and we made a 64k PC intro with him, quite based on 68000 spirit

My all time fave would have to be Mental Hangover. I just remember being so impressed when I first saw it. Jaw dropping.

Also Wild Copper and the RSI megademo. They were both excellent.

I also have a real soft spot for anything by Mahoney and Kaktus. Their demos were always way more entertaining than a lot of the other stuff that may have 'technically' been better.

A bit obvious really, but I also loved our very own Bobby the Ball. Purely because we had such good fun with it.

Oh, and Phantasmagoria by Anarchy. You just can't over estimate how important this demo was to the UK scene.

Coming at a time when a lot of groups in the UK were still mucking about with bobs, copper lists and sine scrolls, it made everyone raise their standards in a huge way.

It totally killed the demo competition at the SAE party (where it was released). As far as I remember, most people at the party took one look at it and just didn't bother entering. It was just so far ahead of everything else in the UK, and quite a bit of the rest of europe, at the time.

The fantastic 4-Mat tune was a bonus too!

Would Anarchy have turned into the group they did without this demo? I doubt it...

Nice tune. Pure nostalgic value only (though it is a pretty niece one).

Budbrain.. I remember I booted it up, was so impressed by it (I had never seen it before and I'd just gotten my Amiga.. only seen C64 stuff before so the sound and graphics just blew me away).

Anyway, I yelled for my mother to come have a look and we watched it together (I'd never seen it before myself).. and then we got to the end there.. well from that on I always watched demos to the very end before showing them to my parents!!

Oh this is a great one! I recommend watching the demo proper as opposed to the YouTube, it's a great one. I love the balls part on the upper square. Great stuff. Very nice "copper" plasma too A great 64k to watch, i love the oldschool stuff.

How could I forget 'Interference' by Sanity? A classic demo.

@Keops - Superb. Love your Java 3D engine too.

And our very own Eggflip intro. A GlenzVector within a Glenzvector ffs. With a classic TDK mod to boot.

Retaliator was (probably is) such a good and underrated coder.

Am drunk. Please forgive the self-promotion.

But that intro deserves it.

Kefrens "Desert Dream" demo. Brilliant music 'n' graphics for the time

Did you know Mat Recardo 'n' Chris Crusher have done a remake (only the intro sequence), they have also kept to the original storyline and timings too.

You can see it here http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...55985967471865, or if anyone wants I can upload the mpg file to the zone

Nice dig DemonHellraiser

For me it's 3D Demo by Anarchy. I like the music and I loved the ninja santa in the third screen or so The disk swap 'screen' was one of the best on the Amiga ever Damn I can watch this one over and over again

@DemonHellraiser
I would be interested in the MPG. So would be cool if you could upload it.

The maximum filesize in the zone is 6 MB I think. For sure less than 20 MB
Can you upload it to Magix FTP instead? You could make a folder inside the users subfolder
Oh and thank you very much for the upload in advance
