Good to know that it is being worked on. I'm sure a reasonable average can be determined fairly easily, there are lots of non-yellowed specimens around. Also the inside of most cases and other parts is usually a good guide to what the part looked like originally.

Well I absolutely have no money for this kinda thing right now But congratulations to the team for a successful Kickstarter campaign, and to all those who contributed and are getting some really kickass-looking keycaps!
Me, I'll just have to wait and hope for a brighter future

All goals *smashed* ;-)

Nice to see it went well ...but... still a bit puzzled over the amount of backers..
808 people backed this one.
840 backed the 1200 cases.. The caps are for most Amiga models not just a1200.

Shouldn't there have been more backers? ;-)

I don't know. I myself don't want new keys in an old case.
But I have an odd situation. I've backed the keys and a case but the only spare keyboard I have is an a500 one. And the other one is an early a500 one. Let's hope I can get my hands on an a1200 keyboard or that new keyboards come along.

A Mitsumi A500 keyboard (ISO style with small return and left shift) can be converted to an A1200 keyboard by removing the controller PCB and swapping the membrane. You also need to cut a little hole for the flexi cable to snake out from.

Perhaps not at the price of a good mechanical keyboard.

Ok, ye it was pricey, and in retrospect, it could gave been maybe €10 cheaper per set and still get the funding...
Its quite few bucks for some plastic pieces..

Still.. even a fantastic external keyboard is of no use to me and my new A1200 case ;-)
I get that some ppl just didnt have the priorities or the funds at this moment in time... but I guess I was expecting the numbers to at least match the Case capaign + 25%.
(Then again, a few of the backers bought big packs.. so a bunch will be available from our good old retailers and some ppl figure they'll simply buy later.)

Expect a reward management interface on A1200.net like the one for the Cases..

The true number of backers may be higher for this campaign, I'm not sure how many people backed the previous one in the A1k and ppa.pl group buys compared to this time. Some of the previous backers may not of supported this one as delays have meant they are yet to receive their cases. Although the keycaps are compatible with more machines than the cases were the lack of corresponding new funky cases for those machines may have put people off (if you bought a black or blue A1200 case for example I expect you'd be far more likely to want some coloured keys to go with it than if you only have a yellowed A500). If they ever do run A500 or A600 case campaigns at least they'll be able to offer package deals including new keys with the new cases now which could be a big help.

Thanks for the tip. I thought I read as much a long time ago. I might try it out. I suppose that way it can connect to a keyrah as well?

HI Guys,

I just would like to confirm you again that everything is moving ahead and those of you who did not get your cases yet, will get them shortly.

In fact you backers from UK are getting your parcels faster, as it is shipped from within UK. (You can check statuses within RMI).

Also, i'm on my way to UK as well, toward factory and the team and i will publish a new campaign update by monday evening (late).

In the same time some of you may actually know why i wasn't able to post messages on facebook and forum very often these last days.
I suffered a loss within family and needed to attend and cope with it.
But i'm better now and anyway the team is also here to answer all your questions you may have

Now with the Keycaps campaign being finished, the team and I would like to thank you all again for your amazing support!

Of course it could have been better with cases delivered for Christmas, sadly we were out of luck ...

So now all of your parcels are being processed and you'll all enjoy your new case shortly.

Many thanks again to all of you guys. You all ROCK!

2017 is already an AMIGA year, and it will be even more in coming months

Cheers,
Phil

Correct, we're still working on it

This tool i've developped myself has proven i't's really useful, to follow your choices, rewards, bonuses, shipping addresses etc..

RMI v2 will be even more integrated with our website and you'll be able to :
-> Select your keycaps colors or Theme
-> Select your T-Shirt sizes (if any)
-> And see and follor your rewards option etc..

Thank you again guys

Cheers,
Phil

No yet Demolition,

I'm actually on the move to UK and i'll talk about the Metal Serie process.
Of course i know you are waiting but you've invested quite some money in this very Special serie and i want to make sure of the absolute quality of these.

Of course all backer invested lot of money to support our campaign and for us to manufacture the molds. But on top of that Metal serie is very special and i want you get top notch quality and you to be very happy and proud of your case

So stay tuned,
I'll update about this very special serie

Cheers
Phil

As I write, I already expected to be last in line for delivery, so I'll just wait some more. I've waited so long now that it won't matter much if I have to wait a little longer. Do not want it rushed if it means lower quality.

Will be looking forward to seeing how it turns out once they are done.
