Boot menu on 3.1
I would like to know if there is any way, to make a script on startup-sequence in wich I can select between to booting options. It should have to wait a pair of seconds for example, and boot the default if I don't type something, for example.
I'm trying to make a normal boot, and a memory restricted boot. Thanks! |

you can use that mouse command that reads for a mouse press.... so if you boot and leave the left mouse button presed, the startup sequence would boot differently.
I think it was simply called "mouse" |

Lots of little tools to handle boot options can be found on Aminet (util/boot).
I use BootManager on my own A1200, and it does the trick for me. I don't know if it is a particularly outstanding solution compared to the alternatives, due to a lazy lack of investigation on my part. |
