Tutorial scan project?

For quite a while Ive liked the idea of having pdfs (or similar) containing scans of various tutorials from different amiga mags. One pdf to cover an entire tutorial series.
As some of you may have seen me mention I semi recently acquired around 250 amiga magazines, so am now in a position to do this myself.
The question becomes however, is there much of an interest in such a project, and what tutorials?

AMOS seems to have had many, many long running tutorials in quite a few magazines. I dont think it'd be an exaggeration to say there could be 200 pages worth just in my collection of magazines.
Blitz, ASM, and C arent half as prominent, but still pretty heavily featured.
Apart from these I also have tutorials for Octamed, Imagine, Hisoft Basic, Deluxe Paint, and quite a few others.
Personally I like the idea of having these tutorials (and associated cover disks, sourcecode, data files,etc.) available, but it's something that I'd like to share the workload with other people with, both because it's a lot of scanning and because of the damage excessive scanning can do to glue bound magazines.
I think (hope) this could become project worthy for an eab thread, but would be interested in some feedback first.

If the pages are already in the Amiga Magazine Rack, it would save you a lot of scanning time. And if we don't have them, we'd love them as JPEGs before you PDF them all!

@Codetapper i've still not had a response on the clean ups i submitted (should still be in the zone)... if they are up to standard I can help out with anything missing from fish's archive

There's some magazine tutorials I have converted to AmigaGuide format at http://amigan.1emu.net/aw/aactive.zip which is better in some ways than PDF (searchable, editable, etc.)

Anyway, where to start?
So far one vote for Blitz stuff. Anyone else have any software they'd like some tutorials for? I wont list what Ive got in detail, but stuff like Dpaint, AMOS, Blitz, Amiga E, Arexx, asm, HiSoft BASIC, amigados/scripting, C, ImageFX, Imagine3d, CanDo, etc., etc.
Basic rule of thumb, if its the sorts of thing that warrants the need for a tutorial (so long as it had some success) there'll be a tutorial or 2 (or more) somewhere amongst the magazines Ive acquired.

Sure, AmigaGuide would be better, but also a lot more work. It's enough work just scanning and turning into pdfs already. If someone else wants to make AmigaGuide versions though I'd use them myself

68k amiga os is pretty lacking in regards to using pdf files in reading, functionality, and in speed.

Shame this thread sort of died... some AMOS and Can Do tutorials would be excellent.

Be good to have a area on the server for tutorials - don't know if there is an area already, I will check, if there isn't it might be something to think about.

it is not much of DPaint itself. he did combined several apps for creating his desired effects, but DPIV was mentioned, so i added it to the list

no special place for tutorials what i can see. but the idea is good.

Just a small folder "Amiga Tutorials and Guides" it would be a useful area for reference for sure.

I was hunting for a guide on writing an "AmigaGuide" and I found an excellent one - I will zone it tomorrow perhaps this could be a contribution to the new folder?!

Wouldn't it be better to have them as .PNG's rather than .JPEG's? PNG has better compression and doesn't use a lossy compression method.

Ah, cool. I gave up on the idea thinking there wasnt much interest, so am glad to have had the thread resurrected. Time to get to scanning then I guess

Yes sorry, I have now uploaded to the zone the two guides I have been using to help me write my "Amiga Guides" I have found them both very useful.

I guess we could now start a tutorial & Guides folder on the EAB Server and add these to it. I also read tonight that there are some C Tutorial pdf's around - be great if they were added to the area also.
