The first 4 pins (starting with black on the left) are clock, data, reset and +5V. Ground is the green wire in that image. You should verify the ground and +5V yourself with a meter...
As for the Amiga 2000 connector, DIN plugs are a little bit funky when it comes to the pin numbers, so I would suggest that you study the pinouts here: https://www.sacc.org/mouse-joy-keyb/a-keyboard.html Last edited by Daedalus; 18 March 2019 at 09:42. Reason: Corrected pin assignments. |

Thank you very much Daedalus, i will study more about DIN plugs. Just one question, (sorry i am totaly noob), did is safe turn on my Amiga 2000 and search +5V and ground with multimetar on keybord pinout, i mean i cant damage something? I mean it is safe, but better ask :-)
@Jope, yes i hear about this but i have problem that in keybord i have, only reset function not work (this is my old keybord i already put one wich working in my A500). I do not know did is problem in keybord controler or something else (keybord membrane looks good). Is there any way to make some kind on reset swich on keyborad or something like this, or anything else what can activate hard reset on A2000? |

Yeah, sort of. It's safe so long as you don't short the probe off the chassis or something like that. You won't kill yourself or anything, but shorting the 5V rail can cause fuses to blow and need repairs.
The reset issue is that normally the A500 uses a separate wire to get the reset signal from the keyboard, whereas the A2000 uses a special signal over the other lines. |

I do not care about myself, I more worry that something does not happen to my beloved amiga
About reset, the problem is that reset function on my old keyboard do not work on Amiga 500. Beacuse of this i put this keyboard out and buy new for my Amiga 500. Now i have this old keybaord where reset function not work and i want now mod this old one for my Amiga 2000. Did is possible somehow use reset pin on keyboard conector for this? About A500 keyboard pinouts, now i am confused. I check again some A500 keyboard shematic for pinouts on internet and i found that ground is a green wire not red (red here is a reset): Last edited by Amigar; 18 March 2019 at 00:21. |

Many years ago I used an A2000 (or A3000?) keyboard on my A500. I used a software patch (I may have written it...) to enable C+A+A. Only worked in AmigaOS but better than nothing.
Sadly I no longer have that machine. You could try one of the reset handlers on Aminet. Try DiskSafe. |

Yes i know this about removing Q1 transistor but today i make test with some keyboard test software and i found that LCTRL, LSHIFT, LALT and LAMIGA not working. I test membrane with multimetar and i found that trace from LAMIGA and next point on picture is not conected:
I do not see any damage on membrane. Is there any way to fix this or i have to buy new membrane? Or did is possible to make reset button somewhere on motherboard? |

Simplest fix would be to replace the membrane since those keys might be useful for other purposes too But yes, you can use the _KB_RESET signal on an Amiga to reset by shorting it to ground. On an A2000, pin 5 of Gary and pin 14 of U805 both have the _KB_RESET signal.
