I'm using 64bit as well...mine list as QuickTime in the available animation formats to save as....and then I choose h.264 as the compression method.
I haven't heard of that one. |

Here is the updated animation using a working codec (I used MagicYUV which is excellent).

Cool. I try to use the Amiga version every now and then but it's through emulation so it's not as quick as the native PC version. I only dabble in 3D every now and again. I recently started toying with Blender. It seems quite good.

I have the peecee version installed too, much better for sure.
but sometimes I simply abuse the win version as a helper tool for the amiga version. so I made the dancing puppet - object saved as lw5 object in lw2015 - and created the motion with LifeForms. sticked together in Amiga LW and rendered the movie when using LW in emulation - if you use winuae, ensure you enabled: config -> chipset -> [x] immediate Blitter. this makes the layout and modeller much more responsive. @emufan
I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but I think could be relevant: On Apollo-core forum, a user (Obetto Sannala) few days ago contacted the newtek support team (see below): Obetto Sannala 22 Dec 2017 14:41 Just to let you know an answer from the NewTek / LightWave Support Team to my question "Is it legal, to copy and run the latest Amiga-Version of Lightwave?" Answer: Hi there - If you can find an Amiga version - I say use it. This thing, is there is an evidence of thruth, can maybe result in the possibility to put Amiga-lightwave on Aminet? http://www.apollo-core.com/knowledge...=7372&z=DG1GRw Last edited by Dr_Procton; 24 December 2017 at 18:15. |

Does anyone have any low poly (by modern standard) models I can get access to? Also do they use the LWO format used in the old PC version (I have loaders) or do I need to code a new loader one?

I have a scene that I want to save as an animated GIF instead of a HAM6 anim. Is there a GIF export plugin for LW5?
There's a "Lightwave 5 format" button in the export menu on LW2015 but I haven't tried loading models with it on the Amiga. |

but you may reduce the poly count before you export it, you can use qemloss3. the lw9 64bit version does work with lw2015.3 I think max poly/point count for an lw5 object is 50000? |

Thanks guys!
Yes, of course! We had a 'little' help from WinUAE instances, otherwise we would have missed the deadline...I will submitting the scenes/objects on Aminet soon. The LEGO objects will have their universal part names and are measured to connect correctly with each other. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk |
