A500 Side slot

Is it possible to have 2 devices hanging off of the side expantion slot on a 500.
I have an harddrive but no passthrough and an action replay.
did they ever produce an expander like the 64 had? or a t piec or if i just wire up to either 500 or harddrive and fit internaly?

Yes, you can "stack" devices on the side slot with no problems.

Only if the devices conflict with the next one you'll have problems (like two 8Mb RAM expansions).

But normally the second conflicting device will simply not show.

Datel did a T-piece, I used it in my supra28/RocHard 800/Action Replay combo.

Rex Datentechnik also made a 4 way powered thing, too.

Problems occur when I try to use this, or any other bus expander, with more than one device and a 68030 - I think the troubles are down to reflections on the bus, as they typically aren't terminated... I'm tempted to build a terminator, but not that tempted so far to actually try it

So zipper you have used the rochard 800 and action replay together, thats great cause thats my combo, did you have any problems useing the action replay in thay way.

AR gave some problems with my expanded memory but shutting down the extra 2 MB cured it. After getting the HD I didn't use AR too much anymore, it was most used with floppies.
