Battle Isle - who completed game?

Well, I would like to know how many people completed this game on an Amiga. Also if you like to post what Amiga and if you used acceleration card.

I used to play it on A500+ (with 1.5MB memory and 20MB harddisk) and I never completed it either.

Reason is that game is time consuming in later levels. (It takes more and more time to computer to think)

because of simillar reason I never completed Colonization on Amiga. Later I replayed it on Dos computer and have completed the game. (unlike BI)

ah! It's a long time since i last played it, but can't really remember it was the time consuming that made me not complete the levels... Doesn't make my performance any better!

OK,

I assume noone has finished this game.

I started playing this game again from beggining and got stuck on first level with air units.

Here are codes so far:

LV (ID) Level Name
01 (16) CONRA
02 (17) PHASE
03 (18) EXOTY
04 (19) MOUNT
05 (20) FIGHT
06 (21) RUSTY

This is also first level with factory and it has 3 depots.

Any idea how to pass this level? Any tips on strategy?

Ah, that level. I am pretty sure i got past that one. Can't quite remember how, but think you went for the two depots first before you attacked the factory at the bottom.

This is a great game, i will give it a go later tonight when the kids are in the bed...

Edit: Hmmmm...No. I think the one anti-air missile with large range is very essential here. I think i made a defence around my HQ with tanks and had the anti air behind that. When you get "him" to 6 stars, he shoots down everything, But you need to be close to the HQ for often repairs...

yuck...I had wiped out everyone expect the artillery at enemy HQ, and was lazy not to take the factory. And he shoot my only groundtroop just before i was going in...

well, one more try...

Can't really understand the time issue..the computer doesn't think THAT long...

I finished it yesterday as well. I went after middle depot and just after computer made to it, I did as well. (thanks to transporter unit)

But while running after deport, that enemy artilery unit got strong. I did go after factory and at the end I had 3 units going after enemy's HQ.

And yes, it's code FIFTH for next level. Thanks again for sharing your strategy.

I didn't have a time to play this new level, but during this week I will.

07 (22) FIFTH

Just a question:
Do you ever noticed, that volume name "BI5" is missing?
It has been released, for me it looks very official.
Maybe it was not commercially marketed.
"BI5" is another data/missions disk released on fair "Amiga 1991".

readme file:

10 neue Karten fuer Battle Isle
Messe Version AMIGA 91

BI1 DISK1 (Intro)
BI2 DISK2
BI3 DISK3
BI4 DISK4 (SAVE)
BI5 DISK5 (Missions Disk, released on fair "AMIGA 1991")
BI6 DISK6 (Scenario Disk Volume 1)

Seeing this thread inspired me to play the WHDLoad of this game, but I'm having a problem.

I can't change the player setting from Human to Computer for a one player game.

Help please.

I completed this game. And also I can't see any relevance in questioning about acceleration card

I completed it too. The hardest map in my opinion is the first single player map in data disk #1 (desert scenario).
