In which WB was mathffp.library introduced?

(I did not find a "support.Workbench" or "support.AmigaOS" category so i post it there.)

I've checked my WB disks from 1.2 to 3.1 and i have not found
mathffp.library
on either of them. Is it a 3.5/3.9 library? Is it a 3rd-party one?

As far as I'm aware, "mathffp.library" is embedded in the Kickstart ROM.

Not sure which one first had this though...

Edit: yup, taken from this page:

Quote:
FFP Basic Mathematics Library

The FFP basic math library contains entries for the basic mathematics functions such as add, subtract and divide. It resides in ROM and is opened by calling OpenLibrary() with "mathffp.library" as the argument.

I see, so the external

What "external" mathfpp.library file?

Ok, maybe the above that you're talking about is an "update" to the one located inside the Kickstart ROM.

...someone more knowledgeable that me would need say exactly in which Kickstart ROM this was first introduced in though

There are external
mathffp.library
files on Aminet and other places. Before that, i never saw this file, it's not on any of the Workbench disks, so i thought that i have WB disks which lacks some files, but as you pointed out, that it's not the case, since it's in the ROM. At this point it had become irrelevant when and where it was introduced, what matters, that i did not have a bad setup of the math libs.

But out of interest, i've checked my KickStart ROM and disk files:
mathffp.library
is with us since the very beginning, it's present in KickStart 1.0 and it's version is 1.2; the earliest i found is KickStart 0.7 and the library version is "rev 1" (Mon Jun 24 20:20:34 PDT 1985).
