Baseball Games
As mentioned in another thread, I am trying to gather up a list of all the baseball games out there. I'll try to get some kind of list whipped up in the next day or so (after work I must sleep...it's been a couple of days since I experienced this nocturnal delight!)
In the meantime, anyone who is aware of any baseball game on any system, be it console or computer, please indicate them in this thread. I'm sure there was some goodies on the 8-bit machines, but I am no expert at MSX, Speccy, CPC, Atari, etc. And while I won't collect them, even mentions of PC baseball games will be of use. |

For Arcade, boot up Mame32 and click on Classification->Baseball
On PC, the Hardball series comes to mind On Amiga, Hardball On the C64 there's a bundle But...the GREATEST Baseball game ever is "Star League Baseball" on the C64...not much to look at, but the most playable! |

Ok, let's see what I know.
On MSX there's Casio's Baseball, Konami's Baseball, Pennant Race, Pennant Race 2, Hardball (from what I know, Accolade developed it first for MSX then ported it to other systems), and there's one from Hudson Soft, that I can't remember the name, because I guess it was something in japanese. Or maybe just Hudson's Baseball, but I doubt . For PC there are the obvious ones from EA Sports. For PSX there is VR Baseball, which I enjoyed a lot . For SNES, I only know that one from Konami.. I think it's called Jukkyo something Baseball. For the Atari 2600 there's Atari's Baseball on GBA there's Pocket Baseball or something like that from Konami too. For Neo-Geo there's Baseball Stars 1&2 , and also 2010 Baseball ... or something like that, can't remember the title now. It plays a bit like Baseball Stars but with robots. There's also the Street Sports Baseball from Epyx for many systems. I won't bore you with Amiga games as you probably know them That's all I can remember for now. And I have all the MSX games, so I can send the files to you if you're interested. I think Baseball it's a boring game to watch, but I bet it's lots of fun to play it as I like many baseball games . |

The only game I can think of playing that isn't obvious to everyone is the appropriately named Baseball! on the Magnavox Odyssey2 system. Back in the day, I really liked playing this game with a good friend of mine. Better than anything on the Atari 2600, but that's not saying much.

The only one I ever really played that much was Earl Weaver's Baseball for the Amiga.

For the C64, here's a site with lots of baseball games for that system, not sure if there are more too but this is a good start.

In some ways, I wish I hadn't created this side diversion. My current list is MASSIVE. I was going to make it into an article after watching the size of the list expand so much, but now it seems that it will end up as an e-Book!
