Lets do it this time! South East Meet, Hack-a-Miggy-Day Maybe?

Hey Amiga Friends

I know we tried to arrange a meet before with little success but maybe we'd have more success if it was some kind of event?

I'm happy to do the leg work, arrange a location, book if needed, collect the subs if we have to pay to hire a hall, etc.

What I'm suggesting is a Hack-a-Miggy-Day

We could hire out a hall or function room, or hey I could send the missus to her Mums for the day and we could take over my lounge (although I warn you my house is a bit small )

I guess, collect people idea's and views at this stage.

Perhaps people want to show off their kit, or need help with a mod or just want to see Amiga gear in action that they have not seen before.

Suggestions welcome

Steve.

That would be fun, maybe Prowler could bring along his A4000 and soldering iron and finally get the job done

If you want to get the true retro copy party feel, i suggest hiring a school in the middle of winter without enough power to support all the computers, or maybe im just feeling a bit bitter as im in the north west :P

Aaah, copy parties in schools. Always puts a nostalgic smile on my face whenever someone mentions them.

Hmm... Hack-A-Miggy, eh? (Or, in my case, an A4000. )
Yeah, let's go for it!

Great suggestion, Steve!

Hey Yo All!

I've been looking at hall hire, I remembered this place from some indoor car boot sales I've been to, their rates seem pretty cheap and we might be able to negotiate a better deal.

http://www.azeliahall.co.uk/page7.html

Its in Beckenham, Kent and would be suitable for a meeting or event, and would work out quite cheap if we get 20+ people to attend.

I'd have to check that they would allow us to use our Amiga's there, maybe there would be a surcharge for the power we'd be using.

Any views?

Yep, looks good to me.
Could get a train to Euston (£15 return) and then train to near by
