After several attempts, I managed this cool run. I was -7 by hole 12, but then it slipped a little. I don't expect to better this score.

Last day of the round folks. Remember that this is your only chance to have a crack at the rest of the tournament and remember if you have already entered please ensure you will be available to take part in the next round - if you can't, or don't intend to take part please give your space to somebody that will.

Here's the schedule for those who are unaware or have forgotten:

Dec 16 - 29 - Group stage (Deluxe Galaga AGA) - 16 players split into four groups, top two from each group progress.

Dec 30 - Jan 5 - Quarter-finals (Stunt Car Racer) - straight knockout from here on in.

Jan 6 - 12 - Semi-finals (The Chaos Engine)

Jan 13 - 19 - Final and 3rd place play-off (Robocod)

+2

Can't better that now in the time left!

After much practice, this was going to be the run... -6 starting the 14th hole, +1 after it!

Needless to say I doubt that'll get me through... Tough (but fun) game, good luck EAB!

We say a big hello to Lielo in this competition... only to say goodbye straight away

This round is now over and well done to the 16 who survive the cut. Bad luck to those who didn't make it but there were some good scores in this round.

The new thread (Deluxe Galaga) will be up soon along with the draw for the group stages. As ever, it will be seeded and the seedings are as follows:

Top seeds: premmisseth, jPV, turrican3, Gordon

Second seeds: roboamiga, mailman, Harry, john4p

Third seeds: LinesMachine, Parpala, Biscuit, mipe

Fourth seeds: capehorn, Simon Humphrey, Lonewolf10, Graham Humphrey

Wow, amazing score Turrican... shame you missed out by 22 minutes, you could've finished top

Leilo, I hate it when that happens. I had a couple of runs like that, but eventually I got lucky and managed to do enough to qualify for the next round. In games like that the pressure sometimes get's to me in the last few holes and my timing goes off

Yeah, it was shocking! The game was tense, I took a quick break to proofread a letter my girlfriend had made and... Spooned it!

That is an awesome score turrican3! See you next time. And I'm sure the lack of colloquial expressions will be appreciated by my girlfriend at least
