Hi PixelOz, I love your work!!! Thanks for sharing and the story about how it came into living. As you said, very Sci-Fi AND oldschool.
Also welcome to EAB. Last edited by Bloodwych; 24 February 2011 at 00:29. |

Yeah! Great work mate
Here's that other wallpaper thread http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?p=445357#post445357 Maybe it would be a good idea to merge this thread with the other one GM's |

A few links to some other's peoples wallpapers
It's OK with me that the thread was moved. I'm new to the forum and I wasn't aware of the wallpaper thread.
I've seen a few Amiga wallpapers around and I though that maybe I should put here a few links to some cool ones that I found. http://abstract.desktopnexus.com/wallpaper/69438/ http://abstract.desktopnexus.com/wallpaper/67907/ http://fav.me/d36m6lk"]http://fav.me/d36m6lk"]http://fav.me/d36m6lk This one is done in older pixelart style: http://fav.me/d2w0fl0 Some of you may have seen some of these but the links are good for those that haven't. I also found quite a few good ones at the gallery section of Amiga.org. I particularly liked these ones: http://www.amiga.org/gallery/images/1692/1_3214.jpg http://www.amiga.org/gallery/index.php?n=3117 http://www.amiga.org/gallery/index.php?n=2110 In Amiga.org just keep clicking in the images that appear until you get to the largest image (sometimes you click once and a larger image appears and then you click again in that one and an even larger one appears). I hope you like those. I think that they are very nice, particularly that last one which is in 1600 x 1200 pixels resolution. I took that one and resampled it and then cropped it to 1920 to 1080 HD (for 16:9 wide ratio without distortion) in The Gimp paint program and it still looks very nice cause it is very high in quality. |

Blazer,
Can I use the pics you did to create a simple Amiga website? It will be just a couple of pages showing how to change the capacitors on an A500. It would look better than just plain white |

Hey bLAZER,
Have you done anything with those vectors I gave you? Not sure which thread it was posted in, so I thought I'd ask you here |

Did a few based on Amiga artwork - some of you may have seen them before:
They were done for my own desktop which runs at 1280x800. If anyone has any Amiga screengrabs they want doing, let me know - it's a pretty simple upscale algorithm. D. |

Hey dude, I messed around a bit when I got them from you, but never completed anything. I've had an itch for some new wallpapers last couple of weeks though so I'll probably make something soon

Thanks
I made them that way partly to help soften the huge pixelisation (I really don't like bilinear filtering at that kind of scale), but mostly because I believe a desktop background should be "in the background" and not getting in the way of icons and windows etc. To be fair, they're still quite "in your face", I should have maybe lowered the contrast a bit more.
