Yeah.... I think we (well Ross) have something a bit more elegant in store for a nice game intro... if you look around you can see he's been pushing WinUAE to the limits and asking Toni to fix emulation issues... probably because he's doing things 'never been seen' before on AGA.

I certainly know now the game will be two disks, it was shear luck I fit even the first 4 rounds on 1 disk. Don't worry though... there will only be 1 disk swap before the game starts (basically all the round/map data will be held on the second disk).

I decided to do a proper video from WinUAE showing the game as I know some people are struggling to get to round 4 due to the difficulty.

From my server (MUCH BETTER!)

Thanks also to your wife, for letting you code this game, without complaining too much (i hope )
Couldn't of said it better than this... When you have a family also, makes it extra challenging (thankfully kids plugged in, and wife at gym right now)... So Amiga/game dev time

Thankyou to others DJ Metune, Dlfrsilver and Ross. We'll might even play this at the next "Brisbane, Australia" Amiga Meetup later this month

For the very first time, i'm happy that the time i spent extracting and reversing a coin-op assets was for good, and could be seen running in a game

Those were the best 4 days spent

Thanks all for your kind comments...it really has been a pleasure taking part and I'm pleased I could make Rygar a reality for you.

Browsing the source code to fix a bug I just noticed this in the main frame loop...

Code:
	add.l	#1,FRAME_COUNTER
	addq.w	#1,FRAME_BG

.nog:
	btst	#6,$bfe001
	bne	.wait

	;SET_LAST_MAP_POSITION
	bsr	DESTROY_ALL_ENEMIES

	bra	.wait
You see by total out of the box thinking, I even included a trainer for all of you too!

The most hidden and difficult to activate trainer of all time

As nobody else is having any problems with the game it is certainly my fault, but I fear that I am still unable to play it.

(deleted)

EDIT: Forget it! It IS my fault! Because I mixed the ADF files up and wrote one from Christmas, instead of the latest one!

Sorry! My fault. I'm an idiot!

Yes. Now it runs. Good work!

It should work fine on a stock amiga a1200, you will need to disable your drives though so u get the maximum amount of chip ram available.

Did u download the latest version as well?

Hi phx, seen your answer, deleted mine

I understood that you used an old version because those lines do not appear anymore.

I did another release which fixes some pretty nasty control bugs.

DLFRSILVER contacted me to say that the jump button was intermittent on his real A1200, I check mine and it was perfect.

I guess not every Amiga is the same, I had to make a small change to the button code to make it read reliably (I was reading it too fast).

Also improved is the joystick code... Rygar will now crouch with Down, Down+left and Down+Right.. where previously he would only crouch with Down. I have also done the same with the upward attack.

New ADF here...

Trying it on WinUAE and it gets stuck at SISMIC MINDS PRESENTS... screen. How do you get past this? Using A1200 config with PAL mode. 2MB Chip/4MB Fast.
