WinUAE with USB-SSD

im new at this, sorry
i need help,

i like to connect a iomega hdd external hard drive 255gb ssd for winuae 3.5v
with that i like to setup:

A500 with that hd and a1200 with hd

how can i add the drive like a real one
i dont want to use 255gb just a bit,, like 10gb
so i can store games on the drive and run winUAE from other drive

i think im using the wrong controller, in the setup
or need i to add extensions. ?

the drive is s-ata do i need ata drivers or ?

a friend had a tip. add directory not a drive uh link ?
i like to add my ssd
and see it on hddtools like you have a real hd connected
and if i make a hardfile i get the error 0:112
im so new at this...

how to fix this

If you want to emulate HD connected to A1200 internal IDE: Make sure you have A1200 model emulated (Chipset extra = A1200), then mount the SSD as A1200/A600/A4000 IDE.

But make sure you know how to handle all A1200 IDE restrictions, driver updates etc or you will get errors and data loss.. -> Read this: http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=61666 (and other threads)

Note that nothing requires you to match emulated hardware. (Unless HD controller is not RDB compatible = really old one)

Which A500 HD controller?

and if i make a hardfile i get the error 0:112

112 = ERROR_DISK_FULL (Your PC HD does not have enough free space for 255G file)

Look at your Screenshot, only 233.8Gb are avaible on HD thats normal
