Preinstalls containing 2 folders
If a pre-installed WHDLoad game has both an "Image" and "Files" folder, can one be deleted without any harm, or do they both have to be on the harddrive? Or should they be joined into the same folder or something completely different?
E.g. Window Wizard or Snow Bros. Last edited by TroelsDK; 03 November 2013 at 20:47. |

I'm not quite sure what the reasoning behind this is. It's up to the slave author to decide whether the game should be ripped to files or use a disk image. If there are less than 30 files or they can be ripped and recompressed, files are usually better. So it's strange to offer the choice!
On Amiga's with less memory, files are better as WHDLoad can cache as many of them as possible and only have to load the others as required. With a disk image, if you don't have enough memory it'll have to enable the O/S to load bits from the disk image. If you have tonnes of memory, it doesn't really matter. |

I've found that using files-version of WHDLoad-games where available makes games behave better - they can have more speed and load faster.
