Is it possible to change the date-stamp on files/folders in WB?
Seeing as there are similar tools for Windows, I was just wondering if it's easy to do the same on an Amiga.

I think you're looking for the Unix command "touch". There are a few ports on Aminet for the Amiga.

Where month is the first three letters, four digit years can be used but this is not advisable because only the last two digits are recognised. The words yesterday, today and tomorrow are also acceptable. Time can be expressed in 24 Hour format or you can use a trailing A or P. Year, Seconds and AM/PM are optional and you can set a date or a time or both at once as long as time string is unambiguous. P.S. AmigaDOS comes with a command SETDATE which changes file dates/times, it's basically the equivalent of touch -c on *IX systems. Last edited by OddbOd; 31 March 2008 at 05:01. |
