Well.. my last Lucasarts FM Towns game finally arrived!
I was beginning to worry as I'd paid for that game some time ago but finally it showed up. For those of you who didn't notice, I posted quite a bit about this in the wanted thread I created in the marketplace section some time ago.
EDIT - in case you wonder, the CDs are all mint except for a tiny scratch outside the data area on the Indy 3 disc and a very tiny scratch on the Zak disc (and they're VERY small, so small they're hard to see). Loom came with the audio drama and Indy 4 came with the poster. Well.. I finally have all the FM Towns Lucasarts games.. here's a picture I just took - Last edited by laffer; 09 August 2007 at 12:03. |

I never did get why I should grab that candy paper I only found by clicking on everything everywhere on the first screen and then use it on some guard 20 screens further into the game. Especially when there's 200 other objects (like a pipe) that would have made a lot more sense.
The humor was pretty good otoh, just not enough to keep me clicking on everything everywhere. In some ways Zorkish games were better, when you typed look at least you got a hint that there's something on the table. |

In case some of you don't know, here is the difference in graphics between the PC version of Zak (and all other versions I know of have similar graphics except the FM Towns one) and the FM Towns version.

Yes, there is no official 256 color PC version or any other official ports with 256 colors. There is a 256 color fan-made version which I think uses graphics from the FM Towns version.
