New SUBWAY production run

"E3Bis pleased to announce an additional production run of the popular and successful USB controller SUBWAY for the clockport. Production could be started just right before Michael Böhmers short research "vacation" and is running now.

The new production run was made possible also by a former competitor on the USB market. Massimo Mancini - design of the only prototype staged UltraBUS did sell his part stock to E3B. This helped us out of a shortage created by selling policies of chip industry and German distributors.

The SUBWAY will be accompaigned by Chris Hodges USB stack Poseidon in the version V2.x. This version is fully licensed and can be upgraded to V3.x by the outstanding offer of E3B, which will cover part of the license fee.

E3B will announce shipment of SUBWAY controllers after production and quility tests on Amiga news pages. For sure the SUBWAY will be available with all bigger Amiga dealers.
To allow all dealers (also from non-European countries) to order SUBWAY at their favourite distributor, E3B cooperates with individual computers for distribution."

How much is Subway now? I tried to buy one three years ago. Will it work with USB storage devices?

£60 + P&P

Yes Poseidon includes Mass Storage Class drivers. (Hard drives, Pen Drives etc.)

REMEMBER Subway is USB2.0 FULL SPEED and so the maximum Theoretical data rate for Mass Storage devices is 1.5Mbyte/s

Subway USB & Poseidon rocks!! Just bought one from Amigakit.
Currently running 128MB Jump Drive/SD Card reader
and an 80GB 2.5" Western Digital HD. Workbench treats 'em all
as devices.....couldn't be easier!

Also use PtpDigCam for my Kodak DX4530 (Why does this proggy
only work on a 16 colour screen!!:^/ -anything higher & it gives
a Protocol Error message) Not a real prob though-just gave it its own
4 plane screen.

Anyhow...top service Amigakit & a big thanks to E3B for Subway
& Chris Hodges for Poseidon.

Do you get all the kit/software needed for it to be recognised? I.e. does it come with Poseidon?
